I am a very upbeat and positive person. I feel I was put on this earth to help others whenever I can. I always go out of my way to be kind and assist others however I can. If someone needs to just vent, I will listen while giving them all my attention. I want them to feel they are my top priority, because they are. I have worked with people with mental illness and addiction issue, bipolar and then there are the medical issues....these people need love and someone to be there for them, to spend time with them...sometimes just to be "present" for them. Give them the integrity they deserve and if they are on their way out of this place, let them know they matter and can move on if that be the case.
My name is Raechel and I am a Certified Nursing Assistant finishing my pre requisites for nursing school. I am located in Hampshire but am willing to travel up to 30 minutes to care for the right client! I have plenty of Alzheimer's and dementia experience, as well as lifts and transfers, and I am trained in CPR. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is the relationship you build with the client and their families. When a person with dementia or Alzheimer's recognizes you, there is no feeling quite like that. To touch someone's life the way I am able to is a wonderful thing. I look forward to meeting you!
I love being a caregiver, I was the caregiver of my grandmother, she also helped raise me as a child, therefore I know how important it is too care for elderly people, to care for your mothers or father or grandmother or grandfather , your loved ones, I have over 10 years of experience
I am a 26 year old single mom. I was born and raised around DeKalb on a farm. I love sports and being active but really love helping others. I started caregiving when I was 18 for my great grandma and have been doing it ever since. I have a passion for it and I tryed to go work other places but found that caregiveing is where I was actually happy .
I decided to work get my CNA certification after visiting my Grandma in a nursing home, I knew I wanted to help other elderly men and women with their Activities of daily living I wanted to show them I cared. I enjoy listening to their life stories and all the changes they have seen and lived through.I like to share these stories with other people and children as things come up in a conversation. I have learned many new things from working with Seniors and I have used many of their ideas in my life from cooking to raising children and house cleaning ideas. I am currently enrolled in a community college I plan on studying Phlebotomy, I have always taken courses over the years in continuing education and prerequisites to AAS.
Caregiving is something I don't really consider work. Yes it pays my bills but it's much more than just a job. It's a chance to connect with and help someone that is no longer able to do certain things themselves. My favorite part of caregiving is being able to help make life easier for elders while also creating new friendships.
My names Kelsey, I'm 23 years old, I love being a caregiver, I have always had a passion for caring for others, weather it be children and the elderly. Caring for anyone is so rewarding! I have experience with MS, Hoyer lift, companionship, toiletry, showering, meal prep, pill reminders, gait belt, traumatic brain injury, hospice and I'm still learning something new everyday! I'm very caring and reliable, I treat your love ones as I would want my love one treated, with respect, and dignity. Being trustworthy, and being honest is a major key to everything!! I enjoy what I do.
I became a caregiver for a few reasons but its two reasons that stand out above all. The first of the reasons was to gain some experience in the medical field because my career goal was and is to be a registered nurse. The experience you gather being a caregiver is valuable, immeasurable, and translates to other job that involves caregiving. The second reason is because I really enjoy caring for people. There is no greater pleasure you can receive than the joy of helping someone in need. I am glad to say I have completed my Associates RN degree program. I am not a licensed nurse at this point but that is the next step in the plan. I am a very hardworking honest and loyal person. I consider my personality a great asset because one of the best non-pharmacological medicines is laughter. I like to lighten the mood and am very easy to get along with and work along side.
I am a 32 year old female . I have 2 little boys ages 10 and 16 months. I am the kind of person that likes helping people . The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is that I like meeting and helping new people. The personal achievement that I am proud of is that becoming a personal assistant is teaching me new things and people are happy with me
I am posting this profile to share our wonderful caregiver with another family. My father no longer needs full time care and he doesn't want to lose her to a full time position. Lexi is wonderful. She is attentive to my dad's needs. Experienced with proper lifting, exercise routines, wound care, showering, helps with housework - takes dictation for my dad who has lists of business tasks he likes to keep track of - works with his physical therapists to learn new exercise programs and is mindful of watching for things that indicate he needs additional medical attention. She is on time -- always happy and keeps my dad's spirits up. She is looking for afternoons at least five days a week. She needs to pick up her son from childcare before they close. She is open to overnights on weekends. Her rate is negotiable based on the type of services requested. She had done wound vacs, tub feedings, blood draws, vitals and other specialized care. She is a delight.
