Hello my name is Laporsha Pledge I currently live in Cedar Rapids Iowa I am looking for a full time job in the Chicago area because I will be moving there soon. I work at a daycare now I've worked with all ages. I have been at the daycare for 5 Years. I've always wanted to work with elderly people I just love taking care of & helping others. I am very outgoing & love to put a smile on others faces. I think being a caregiver will be a perfect fit for me
Why I became a caregiver is because I like helping people I think that's the best job u can have . I had a grandma who I heloped take care of In the last years of her life she had dementia ,parksisons disease, and many other health issues . That definitely made me want to help other individuals and other families through things like that. What I enjoy most with being a caregiver is helping people and making a difference in someone's life and getting to know that person and help out . I'm a very kind and caring person . I'm very reliable and responisble as well. I have a good heart that cares about people . I am a laid back person who is very patient as well . I was recently a caregiver to elderly couple as well .
My role as a caregiver initially started when I was 17. My Grandmother broke her hip and I lived with her to help her live independently in her own home again. This was not a paid position but one out of love and respect for my grandmother. 13 years later she was my Maid of honor, danced down the aisle at my wedding, at the age of 87. I've always enjoyed working with people in various stages of their lives. About 4 years ago, I became very ill and after 3 hospitalizations, I was transferred to a nursing home for a month. I had to learn to walk again. That experience reminded me of seeing various emotions of my grandmother when I was 17. However, this time it was me that was in her shoes, except I was at the mercy of strangers. I now understood the roller coaster of emotions that my grandmother verbalized. I made many friends in my stay at the nursing home. It was actually very sad when I left. My friends I made there wanted me to stay and work there....both clients and staff. That was when I decided to become a caregiver to help others continue to live independently in their own homes. I love what I do. I know my clients enjoy my presence in their lives. And that feeling has no price tag.
I love being there and caring for people, I prefer being there to assist someone and making them feel better and stronger. What I enjoy most about caregiving is helping someone with their independence, making someone feel better about themselves and just helping someone have a better grateful day. My personal trait that I'm proud of is being able to put in all my effort to make someone's day beyond better, whatever it is I need to do for someone I'm there to do the most I am able to.

My name is DeAushia but I go by De. I am very outgoing and bubbly. I tend to smile A LOT and always laughing. I feel I would make a great caregiver because I not only have a little bit of nursing background and caregiver experience but I am very hardworking, currently in school to further my knowledge and education. I really miss working with people face to face and helping people in their home. i really enjoy being a caregiver because not only does the family feel more comfortable in their home, they are more likely to adjust better in my opinion. My personal achievement that I am proud of is getting into the Bachelors Program for integrative health.
I'm a very outgoing person that loves to talk to others about anything and everything. I enjoy taking care of others and doing my best in making them as comfortable as possible and feel cared for. I like being a caregiver because I love getting to know other people and being able to make their lives a little bit easier. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is how many times my patients/residents tell me how caring I truly am. These people see so many faces and know how cares about their jobs versus who don't, and to be remembered and appreciated is the most rewarding thing to me.
Im Ana I been Nurse assistant for five years back home in Africa .I like to work as caregiver because it's the kind of job I know very well and, before I start work as CNA I was doing voluntary for people who lost their legs ,arms in my country because we passed pike 30years of war in my country (Angola) they so many people with cut legs ,in working as voluntary they hired me and trained me as CNA .
Caring for others is one of my strong suits. I became a CNA just over a year ago, and have made so many new friends since then. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is not the day to day duties, but the relationships I build with the patients and their families. Each person has a completely different life story, and I get to be a part of it.
