I love visiting with my patients, you can learn so much about them and their lives and that gives you a better sense of the care needed and things they enjoy doing.I had private duty assignment with a 89 young lady, we had the best conversations and that helped me to get to know her better and also for her to get to know me better
Skills & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Medical Assistant (MA)
I love being a caregiver, I decided I wanted to become a caregiver when my great grandma passed away a few years ago. I liked seeing the interaction and compassion her caregivers gave her in her last moments of life and I want to be able to do that for others also. I love caring for people, I believe that's my true calling. An achievement I am proud of is getting my CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) to further my education with Dementia and now teach others about it.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
I love to help out others and make them feel good about theirselves. I've always wanted to help others who are in need. The thing I enjoy most ab being a caregiver is the relationship I build with the patient. One thing I have achieved in the past is my CNA and I hope to further onto nursing some day.
I watched my Grandpa battle dementia for 7 long years until I lost him a year ago, today ironically. I'm avid on learning more, helping anyone who has it, to not feel alone. I also worked in a home with 8 individuals with impairments. I'm an advocate on mental health, I want to comfort anyone who feels alone. I know what dementia can do, what the effects are on the family.
