My parents are both elderly and, as a result, my empathy and tenderness in handling and caring for patients is maximum. I am proud of the relationships that have been fostered from what at first was simply a job. I've enjoyed the ability to both learn and to teach during my home health aide employments. It is always fascinating what others have to offer, regardless of their situation. My sister is an RN and I often wondered if I had what it took to be of service to those in need. I believe I do and I try to bring out the best in others. It is difficult to maintain a good attitude when one is in pain. I know because I have been there. Keeping that in mind, I work to ease a patient's pain-level and make them as comfortable as possible. This, however, does not preclude any physical therapy that a client must endure. I consider myself extremely kind. I have a driver's license and Honda Prius car. I have worked with a client who was basically wheelchair-bound, however she did not weigh over 150 pounds so it was easier to help her in and out of the car and to chairs. Additionally, I love to cook and am particularly passionate in maintaining a clean and orderly household.
