Having been a director at an assisted living, I have dealt with every situation that you can imagine. I have done everything from transport residents to and from Dr.'s appointments, make Dr.'s appointments, personal hygiene and bathing, dressing, etc. I remain calm in all situations as to keep things from becoming more intense than they already are. I am very good at listening and getting to know the whole person. I have work with designing activities that relate to their spiritual, social, cognitive, emotional, and physical beings. These are all things that make a healthy body and a healthy mind. I also have experience dealing with people that range from minimal assist to full assist. I have worked with Alzheimers and Dementia folks as well. So as you can see, I have the ability to deal with any situation that I am put into. I am college educated, punctual, and above all very passionate. When working with others I give 150% of my heart and dedication to them. I always and will always treat them with the same respect, dignity, and love that I would my own family. I am first aid and CPR certified, so you can be rest assured that if any situation arises, I have been trained on how to handle it. I look forward to speaking with you and meeting your loved one. You will feel completely comfortable with your loved one being in my care. There will never be any worry about their well being.

My job was to plan and implement all of the in house activities and events. However, it was also my responsibility to make Dr. appointments and accompany the residents to their appointments. I take them on various errands. However, the job went much further than that. As a manager/director, it was my job to pitch in and help with bathing, dressing, dietary, transportation, etc. It encompassed the everyday job of taking care of the senior population ranging from those that need minimal assistance to those who need maximum assistance due to Alzheimers and Dementia, as well as other needs.

All of the roles that a teacher has to complete. I would stay abreast of all of the Tennessee State Standards as well as the County Standards. I would create and enact lesson plans for children's learning. Maintain parent and teacher relationships, classroom management. I was also promoted to the head of Kindergarten. I had 3 other teachers under me. I would help train them and guide them in their planning of lessons and ways to reach the various students in their classrooms. I worked with students that hard learning disabilities, socio-economic disadvantages, post traumatic stress disorder, as well as students that were your average middle class child. I had the joy of seeing a lot and learning a lot. I think that the kids taught me as much as I taught them.
