i've had 3 years experience working in a nursing home, and i loved my job. i got started in the wonderful industry because at a young age i had to take care of my mother due to a car accident. im leaving my currant job to find another because i want to give my talents of caregiving to another. i have the experience, and the passion for this wonderful industry. i am 24 years old, a very personable young lady, i may be young but i feel i am way before my time. were i am working and nov 30 2014 will be my last day there i am a team leader. it basically is a supervisor but my union does not call it that. as a team leader i am responsible for all the staff in the building making sure they a doing there job safely an properly with in the state an osha regulations. as well as making sure all my 125 residents are safe an well cared for. i like being a caregiver because i enjoy helping people, being able to make a difference in someone. this life speaks more to me then anything else and i cant imagine ever doing something else.

I am a great caregiver because I provide excellent care to elderly/disabled people who can't do for themselves. I became a caregiver because I love helping people, and it feels good to help someone that's not able to help themselves. I feel that helping someone else makes my day better because I know I made a difference in someone's life whether it's helping a patient bath, eat, get dressed or even assist with walking. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is me being able to work with hospice patients. I was scared to work with hospice patients when I first started as a certified nurses aide, but I work with them everyday now and I love it!!! I'm going tell you a little about me I'm a dedicated hard worker, caring, respectful, loyal and honest person. I'm also a great person to get along with and I can work and a lot of different settings such as nursing homes, home care etc.
