Hello i am an 45 yr old caregiver/ cna i earned my cna license im.2005 at heritage manor in baton rouge la i was top of my class i earned a most mature certificate most outstanding also the highest goal rate in my class.i have worked with our infants on down to our seniors with all kinds of different needs of daily living also worked with my mother and 2 nieces all of cancer one with tubal feeding it is my passion to work with others in need of help with their daily needs and activities I have worked inside the homes rehabilitation centers hospitals nursing homes i have used all lifts steady gate belts and more i strive my best to give someone all i have to care for them like they are my own family i love on them as well i know i am an great fot in the caregiver field try me out with your love one's you want go wrong i have cpr, first aid, medications class also dsw!! For the past decade, I have assisted aging, ill, and terminal friends and family in all aspects of their daily living to improve their quality of life in any reasonable manner possible. Although my certification expired, I have previously been certified in CPR and will re-certify ASAP. I am quite familiar with medication regimes and am experienced in IM injections, such as those required for a diabetic client, but I am not certified for Intravenous Injection. I have inserviced and provided/administered many forms of occupational and physical therapies for clients and am accomplished in therapeutic massage and pedicures. I provide reading services, am an accomplished Scrabble player, enjoy card games, such as Rummy (but no Poker or Bridge...), and play other board games and enjoy jigsaw puzzles, also. While my Bachelor of Arts is in English, with a minor in Speech Communications, much of my professional work has involved in crisis management and governmental processes so I am very familiar with "Red Tape" and dealing with the requirements of documentation for personal/ medical / and social programs. I am also an accomplished cook and homemaker and if I don't know the recipe or the process, I will locate or take direction for the best possible results in the kitchen, bath, and home. Finally, I am an intelligent, caring woman, raised on a farm in South Louisiana, educated and well-read, have a good and practical sense of humor and a well developed caring mentality, steeped in patience and compassion.
