About Allison

I have 15 years experience as a Caregiver. I have worked for Home Health Agencies but I also work independently as a Caregiver/Companion and I am also a C. N. A.. I have hands on experience caring for clients who have had a wide range of issues including but not limited to mobility, dementia, heart problems, lung problems, and etc. ranging from mild to severe. I understand all issues completely and I am comfortable with the situations. I know how to care for my clients and make them as comfortable as possible as well as explain any concerns and give suggestions on how to deal with any issues to family members who are involved. I am passionate when it comes to my clients getting the proper care needed. I'm skilled in feeding, bathing, dressing, and turning my clients who are bed ridden to prevent bed sores. I have my own medical supplies enabling me to check all vitals if needed, administer medications, keep bedding clean and dry, and meet any medical needs necessary. I operate many kinds of medical equipment such as, oxygen tanks and tubing, suction machines, and howyer lifts for mobility. I do all housekeeping duties, laundry, cooking, and cleaning. I'm great at transporting clients to all doctor's appointments and errands needed. I have references available from family members of clients whom I have cared for. I am passionate about my work and take others lives very seriously while they're in my hands whether critical or just as a companion. I love doing this type of work as it has always been a passion of mine. I go above and beyond my best to provide excellent care. I feel I'm a great companion due to my love for not only caregiving, but just to make a new friend, have great conversations, and to put a smile on the face of the one I'm caring for. I have honestly never left a job with so much self fulfillment, knowing I have made a positive impact in someone's life by making them happy and providing them with the best care possible.

I truely think that being a caregiver just came naturally to me. Growing up my great grandmother lived with us and I was taught at a young age how to care for an elderly person. It is a passion in life to make a difference in someone else's life in a positive way. I believe I have done this many times working for individuals and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I love to nurture and care for others, as a mom it just come naturally. :)
