I became a caregiver because I am passionate about taking care and helping people. I love providing care and companionship to those that need it the most . I am a very patient and flexible person . I get along with all sorts of people. I have taken cared of an 88 year old lady in metairie. I was a live in caregiver for her for almost 10 months. She needed help getting up and assistance in day to day living like dressing her up , preparing her meals, giving her a bath . She had mild dementia and needed someone to be there for her at all times. We would eat together, watch her favorite movies and play cards all day. I love listening to her stories and adventures in life. I find it fulfilling taking care of the elderly because I know for a fact these people worked hard and sacrificed so much just for their family and being there for them in their old age is such a blessing for me . I am from the Philippines , 24 years old and I live in an apartment alone. I love dogs, reading books and hanging out with my family. I have a bachelors degree in nursing and planning to take the board exams for nursing in order to get a nursing license. I started being a caregiver 2 years ago when I was just 22 years old fresh from college ad ever since then I have absolutely love taking care of the elderly and sees the profession as a caregiver as a long time inspiring job.

I can take your loved one to Doctor Appointments and report the doctor's instructions to the family, go on outing and doing whatever they choose to do. I have multiple letters from family members about how well I take care of their family members and they have also sent the letters to Visiting Angels. I love what I do so I guess that's why I don't look at it as just a job. I have always treated my clients as I would want someone to treat my loved one
