Ministry Leader at Operation Nehemiah in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina - helping rebuild the walls of people’s lives. I was tasked at helping these people navigate a future for them and their families under the most difficult and challenging of circumstances (loss of home due to the city being flooded ... job ... friends and family members. I have many duties in relation to Mission Teams coming in to help as well as the intense duties of helping our clientele whose lives were so devastated by Hurricane Katrina: 1) Hosting and Providing Housing & Meals for Mission Teams 2) Securing & Coordinating Mission Team Projects a) Projects - rebuilding the homeowners’ lives and rebuilding their homes b) Other Projects - counseling folks and direction casting - PTSD / suicide / marriage / family 3) Mission Teams - determining their needs for the following day at their projects 4) I worked with senior staff helping with vision casting, team building, goal setting – all geared to help people rebuild their lives through compassionate and loving care. I hope to use my caring ways to continue to touch the lives of others on a one-on-one basis - through conversation and relationship building. I have a well-equipped Honda minivan and am able to drive to and from appointments (doctors, shopping, theater or other entertaining events, visiting family, and more). I am fluent in English and Chinese and can conversationally speak German.
