I truely think that being a caregiver just came naturally to me. Growing up my great grandmother lived with us and I was taught at a young age how to care for an elderly person.     i have basically been taking care of people since i was a teen. my dad got sick when i was in high school and i took care of him, worked full time as well as went to school and looked after my younger sibling. as our mother past away when we where younger. i learned a lot about time management with having to do that as well as compassion,because even tho he was my dad he was still a patient. after he passed away i was able to use what i learned to get in home sitter jobs for elderly adults at night and that led to working with mentally challenged adults in a group home like setting. from there i went to the hospital setting and learned the medical side of things a lot better. i did that so i could help my husband to take care of his parents who passed away last year. i just feel like the lord has given me a caregiver/servant heart and i want to use what he has given me to help as many as i can.
