I became a caregiver as a career move from high stress hospital administration to something more compatible with my nature. I have made it my career aspiration to care for the elderly. When one cannot do for oneself any longer, or any stage of compromise, I can come in to assist in their activities of daily life. If it were my life and I needed assistance, that's the kind of care I endeavor to deliver. I am proud of my ability to read the needs of people and articulate what they cannot. I recently had a hiking injury and at the present time will not escort folks around with a guiding hand under their arm. [I currently use a cane and/or walker for mobility.] HOWEVER !
