About Tambe

Growing up, I loved caring for my cousins at home and in school. During holiday workshops, I volunteered in two orphanages, a centers for less privileged girls and women operated by our Church and also helped in fundraising events. All these endeavors were to help the less fortunate, the homeless and most especially the sick. My mother, a devoted Social Worker and Christian Community Support Staff, always took me along to do their charity work. I therefore developed the interest and love of care giving. I have a moral feeling of accomplishment when I help people. I love everything about helping people and putting smiles on their faces. Helping those who need care is a passion to me as it gives them the self esteem and brings them to a level where they would want to be. As a leader of Young Christian Workers (YCW) Group, we raised funds, collected clothes, shoes, food items which we distributed to centers, the old and needy on Youth Day and during Summer Holidays. This is a personal achievement I am proud of as this group is still going on now and I am in constant contact with them, giving them more ideas that I have learnt in the USA. As a college student now, I am one of the founders of a group, "Cultivate to Elevate" whose aim is increasing our awareness on caregiving for the less privileged, needy and vulnerable (sick, Intellectually disabled and old).
