I supervised the staff of home care aides - we provide support for 2 patients in a home environment. I typically work in the patient home (12 hour shifts). The patients (Husband and Wife) required 24/7-hour schedules. This position required 6 other caregivers that work under my supervision. Some of my responsibilities including: supervising staff of home care aides; scheduling aides for patient visitation; monitoring the quality of care; ensuring the satisfaction of patients and their families; making doctors visits for patients; assisting in hiring and training aid staff and reviewing their performance; maintaining daily clinical activities; ADL's, cooking, light house keeping, monitoring sugar levels, vitals, shopping, errands, and much more.; monitoring staff workflow; prioritizing duties; performing various administrative and human resources duties; and ensuring that all services comply with professional standards. I ensured that a friendly attitude toward patients at all times. I made sure that ALL staff always was willing to go "above and beyond" to ensure patient satisfaction.
