I became a Caregiver after doing every job except the job that brought out the best in me. You want a job that makes you happy and proud of what you've accomplished at the end of the day even if it was stressful and hard work. At the end of the day you know your pt is happy and appreciating and that is why I became a Caregiver. For other reasons too, but its a long story. What I like about being a Caregiver is that I am able to assist and help others in their time of needs. It gives them a moment where they know they can push on to doing and not feeling helpless knowing that there are people who ca re and are going through the struggles with them. A personal achievement I am proud of is that this is the first long term career I've had and I love it and wouldn't trade it for any of my old careers. I love putting a smile on faces and making their day a day to look forward to. I am a female , I have been a caregiver for the past 14 years. I have experience in Long term, Retiremnt , Convalescent and Hospital and I am looking forward to advancing in a career as a Radiation Therapist. ... more
