My name is Linda, a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with 7 years of experience, and also 6 years as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA). AS a nurse my duties includes providing nursing care to my clients, by using the nursing process, assessement, plannning, implementation, and evaluation. I also administers medications, orally, subcutaneously, as ordered by the physician, transcribes physician orders accurately, explain treatments plans, rational and expected outcome to family members and other duty nurses. My responsibilities also include, maintaining patient's safety, comfort, cleaniliness and well- being, assists clients with meals & mobility, bathing & grooming. l also have knowledge of using equipments like oxygen(02), pulse 0x, and other mechanical devices, practices universal precautions, writes progress notes that reflect nursing observation and interventions. l have taken care of patients with Alzherimer's & Dementia, diabetes, parkinson's disease, fall related injury, stroke and heart disease, hearing loss problems, kidney problems, cancer patients, arthritis , depression, lung disease, and also patients with vision/eye problems, and incontinence. l have taken care of clients in the nursing home facilites, assisted living facilites, and in their private homes. l love being a nurse because l love taking care of my patients. l can be reached at 240- 429- 2244.
