I am a Loving, Gentle, Caring, Compassionate, Loyal and Dedicated Caregiver, Mother and Wife of 8 educated adults to young adults. During my teenage years, my great grandmother's bed was set on fire by her caregiver. Thankfully the fire was caught by a family member who came for a visit that day. Some people ask me, "why are you a caregiver?" I smile and simply respond, "I care to care." Caring for others has not only created an occupation for me, but also a way of life. I love the idea of giving care to someone who otherwise may be unable to care for themselves. My grandfather needed a caregiver himself when I was much younger and my family was unfortunate to have the worst experiences and I'd like to use this opportunity to make someone's experience a lot better and their lives easier.
\"My passion for caretaking came when my grand dad was left under my care and I took care of him until he passed away. Since then, I have been taking care of loved ones until they've sadly departed. All of my experience has been hands-on and I can assist in all aspects of home care from companionship to bathing/dressing, to meal preparation. I can also assist in managing doctor visits and ensuring that doctors stay coordinated. I am a certified CNA / LPN With the Maryland Board of Nursing and also certified in First Aid, CPR and AEDs for adults and children. My hobbies are reading and spending time with family, time permitting. I have references available upon request, and they would be happy to speak with you about the level of care I have for my patients and the type of care I offer. I'm open to short-term engagements, but prefer longer-term so I can build your trust over time and provide care in a way that meets each of your unique needs. I would enjoy talking about helping you or your loved one.
