Hello! I am a current student at the University of Michigan, on the pre-med track, majoring in biocognitive neuroscience. I have done many hours of community service (200+) throughout high school and college involving taking care of seniors in senior homes (with special focus on those with neurological disorders) as well as children in a day-care type setting. Personally having a grandfather diagnosed with Alzheimers, and having looked after him for nearly every summer I can, I understand the difficulties of having someone to forget your name, or even lash out. I am very accommodating and put his needs above all else and make sure his needs are met properly, such as putting on clothes, walking to the bathroom, and eating food, as well as holding his hand to guide him out in the city. I have even volunteered abroad to provide underprivileged people with free medical service and medication. I am a very caring and considerate person, and am even selfless when it comes to taking care of someone who needs my help. I can guarantee that I am very gentle and accommodating of different types of people, and am very responsible and focused as well.
