I became a caregiver because of my mother, At the age of 10 my mother died and I couldn't do nothing to help her. So I decided to get in the medical field for that reason. I love being a caregiver because it is a passion of mine to see people smile, and live there life to the fullest. Some of my achievements are attending school for certification, and also I am now enrolled in school for Health Information Systems and Business Administration. I chose this field because I want to make sure the patients get the treatment, respect, and etc they deserve. I want to see people that take care of these patients act professionally, and treat the patients like the way they (caregivers) would want to be treated. Everybody tells me I have a wonderful personality, and they can tell I care about the patients needs. I like to have fun, spending time with family. I am here to help. I became a caregiver because I've always loved helping the elderly. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give my compassionate and patient care to a person in need of assistance in their activities of daily living. A personal achievement I am proud of is when I performed the Heimlich maneuver on an elderly client in her home. She was choking on food and my quick reaction saved her. I have an outstanding personality,and I love to be of a great help to others.
