I became a caregiver in order to take care of my mother. My mother almost lost her life died due to her diabetes. An infection spread through her body because of an infected cut on her toe. All of her toes on one foot were amputated. After being hospitalized she came home and was very weak. I decided to get my CNA license to help her get better. In four months with my help, we got her blood glucose and blood pressure under control. She is now able to talk care of herself. The thing I like most about being a caregiver is being able to assist people with every day obstacle. I get fulfillment out of helping others. A personal achievement I am proud of is helping my mother get better. I am a very respectful and caring person. I try my best to help anyone and very one that I can, when in need of help.
