About Susan

Hello, My name is Sue and I have been a senior care giver for the past 30 years. My role as a caregiver began when I was in my 20s caring for my Grandmother then my parents. My love for this job has taken me to many patient homes and a caregiving agency. I find working directly with the patients' family much more rewarding because I feel it is so very important to directly know the needs of the patient and the family wishes for their loved one. Also, as a home caregiver I feel it is so important to have the loved one remain comfortable at home. I have worked the past 15 years directly with Dementia and Alzheimer patients. I have attended numerous workshops and classes that address the special needs of these patients. I have also worked with several Hospice agencies while in patient homes, While caring for your loved one I provide safety, companionship, meal prep, medication reminders, light house keeping, personal hygiene, transportation to Doctor visits and errands.

Everyone always tells me that I have a very big heart and it's true, I care about other people and I want to help them while making them happy. More about me is that I love art, I paint and draw and create projects all the time. Pinterest is my favorite place to generate new ideas and things to do with my patients. I love dogs, I have a one year old puppy at home. I also love to travel and experience new places all the time and taste new food which is why I also love to cook and bake new recipes all the time. Currently. I am attending Eastern Michigan University and plan to graduate as a Recreational Therapist next Summer 2019.
