My name is Lucille Jones and I have been in the companion care field since I was a young girl. I was born and raised in the south by 2 loving parents who taught me to care for others. My first job was working for my aunt at a very young age where she paid me to live with her and help her with my Grandfather and assisting with my mother's parents who came to live with us. My 2 younger sisters and I helped my mother take care of them until they both deceased. I married and moved to the north in 1966. In 1977 I received a call from Ford Motor Company and started working for Ford Motor from January 1977 until June 2005 . My husband also worked for Ford Motor and in 1993 and while on the job, he died due to a massive heart attack. I retired in 2005 and went into care giving after my eldest sister got sick in Chicago. I went to Chicago and moved her back to Michigan to live with me and my daughter. She stayed with me for 5 years and when she got better she wanted to move to a senior citizen's apartment. I also assisted her in making that move and she became my first client. I worked for Abore Health Service in Southfield Michigan. I picked up 2 other clients and I had a total of 3 clients. I worked with them for a total of 7 years and they deceased. I then went into the field of mystery shopping where I worked for 9 years. In 2016, I went back to work in the care giving field at an assisted living home as a receptionist. I met many wonderful people, but I didn't like that position. In 2017, I returned to my first love and began working again as a companion caregiver and this is where I presently work. I love my clients and we form strong and lasting bonds of friendship and we don't like leaving one another. I truly enjoy working as a caregiver and my desire is to have my own clients as private duty.
