About Cayleigh

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is my ability to empathize with others. Everyone always tells me that I have a very big heart and it's true, I care about other people and I want to help them while making them happy. I am a very outgoing person and love to talk and listen to other people. I was first interested in being a caregiver when I was in the hospital for a double jaw surgery. During this time, I could not open my mouth for 8 weeks and I depended on other people to care for me as I could not. I feel this experience helps me become a better caregiver because I know how it feels to be on the opposite side of the caring. I like for my patients to feel as independent as possible because I didn't like the feeling of being helpless and not being able to do things on my own. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is all the people I meet and being able to share different life experiences and relate to others. I love being able to make connections with people and be able to make someone's day. Personally, I am proud to have just became a level 2 caregiver and all the new tasks I have learned. More about me is that I love art, I paint and draw and create projects all the time. Pinterest is my favorite place to generate new ideas and things to do with my patients. I love dogs, I have a one year old puppy at home. I also love to travel and experience new places all the time and taste new food which is why I also love to cook and bake new recipes all the time. Currently. I am attending Eastern Michigan University and plan to graduate as a Recreational Therapist next Summer 2019.
