I became a caregiver about 4 years ago, when my Nana grew ill. I didn't trust anyone else to come to her home and take care of her, so I applied through atrium home health care and became a home health aid. I went on maternity leave June 2013 and never returned due to lack of available cases. I enjoyed helping those in need and giving them a personal touch, like family, to make them feel loved and really at home. I had one client for 2 years, who ran through aids like dogs with water because she never like anyone and was violent. I came in and became her permanent aid for 2 years and she told me I was t he best aid she'd ever had. I still stay in touch with her from time to time and she even sent her new aid with a gift to my daughters first birthday party. My patients are my family, and it's a job to cherish, an honor. I'm a stay at home mom of a one year old daughter. I go to school full time for psychology and social work. I have a lot of experience in the field and love the work done in this field. I'm looking for a weekend case so I can continue to stay home with my daughter and go to school during the week. I'd love this opportunity to work with your company. ... more
