I am a great caregiver who provides the quality of care that will be most enjoyable and memorable to the client. I do this by getting to know the client's interest in sports, music, food, and etc. By doing so, I can provide the best care that will be relatable and encouraging for them to achieve. I have been taking care of children and family members for about 5 years and with my positive attitude and energetic self, I provide a new experience to people. I also have hands-on/schooling experience in Occupational, Recreational, and Message therapy, but do not have any certification yet. By being a caregiver I enjoy the most when I can get my clients to smile and improve their physical, social, cognitive and physiological goals. I am most proud of my work and the outcomes when I experience a client change their normal interest and independently decide to do an activity or physical action on their own is my best achievement to see. Companionship to me for the elderly is lots and lots of conversation! I find out what they like to do whether its going for a walk, reading, doing puzzles, watching television, etc. I realize they have good days and bad days, and we could decide for that day what he/she feels up to doing. They love to be pampered. Not rushed! I enjoy helping people. I have taken care of several of my family members dealing with all sorts of issues. I've also been a home caregiver, home mealth aide, and in an assisted living I have worked as a companion too. I am reliable, punctual, trustworthy, honest, and respectful. Some seniors just want someone to hang out with them because they are lonely. Some will require physical assistance with mobility, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, walking their dog etc. Everyone wants to have their dignity respected, especially as they age or if they are ill. I can provide detailed doctor notes, help keep their calendar updated with tasks, keep an eye on if there are changing health issues and report to someone if there are changes. I enjoy providing this care because I love helping others especially the elderly. I provide my care as if I were taking care of my own family members. You can count on me.
