I Became a caregiver because it's what I love to do I became a volunteer in high school loved it even more I come from a generation of nurses in my family we just to help others I went to school for Medical office management, CNA License, Phlebotomy/Venipuncture certificate. I have been a CNA-Caregiver since 2002 after taking care of my grandmother till her passing strive me to want to more I do plan on going back to school and furthering my education as a LVN then RN. I must say in all the years of nursing I have seen a lot some with no family at all I had a client that had no family except a daughter that was drug addicted I help get her in a program I began to care for her mother her mom passed Christmas day with nothing do burry her I began a fund raiser car wash food and bake sell I called radio stations as was able to give her a proper burial it made me feel good her and her daughter as well they say not to get attached to the client it could be pretty hard when its you they see everyday you treat them like your own family they are aware of there illness so I try my best not to make them think about it make them as comfortable as possible with my previous clients we would go for walks, play board games, mall, eat out, watch movies, listen to there child hood stories, if I cook and they can help I let them help me laundry they help me fold read books.
