I have always felt caring for others is what i was put here to do. I have been taking of others my whole life. Its very heartwarming to know that i can make a difference in someones life. I love being a caregiver and helping others, there is nothing more rewarding. I started because my mother was ill when i was little, my grandma died from MS and I quit my office desk job to become a PCA for my uncle for 4 years, then became a CNA, now im a TMA.
What makes me a good care giver is that I have Empathy and compassion for the elderlies and Im also Patience, Reliable and Flexible. What attracted me to be a care giver is that I was taken care of my grandmother before she had passed away she needed help wit grooming and medicine reminders and companship and ever since I been taken care of her it took a toll on me that I really have a soft spot for helping people who is sick that cannot take care of themselves I can take on that responsibility and contribute. What I enjoy the most is seeing them happy and smiling cause it makes me feel better in the inside.

I became a Caregiver because when I was about Fourteen my Grand Father became very ill and my Mother would go to his house everyday after picking me up from school, and we would take care of him. We would help him out with his everyday living needs, such as bathing, dressing, eating, And just light cleaning in his home. From then on I've always had the passion to help/take care of others. What I like about being a caregiver is making others feel more independent, by helping them with their everyday needs, or anything else they need help with. And also being there so they can talk when they need someone. A personal achievement to me is just a simple one, I once worked in a nursing home for about two years, and it was always an achievement to me when me or another one of my co-worker put a smile on one of the Residents face. I am a friendly person, I love to help others, And I am always ready And willing to learn something new in life.

I pride myself on punctuality and organization but I am flexible when the need arises.
