About Sarah

I decided that I wanted to be a caregiver after my grandma had a stroke. After my grandmas stroke, I took care of her for a little bit and realized that I liked taking care of her/ helping her. I decided to take a CNA course at the local college, while I was in high school. After I got my CNA I began working at the Wellstead of Rogers. While I was working there, I gained a lot of knowledge on how to deal with people with Alzheimer's/dementia. During my final year at the Wellstead, I worked in the behavioral unit, so I have experience dealing with all different types of behavior. There are a few things that I am proud of. While working at Cherrywood I have received the Florence Nightingale award twice. At most of my jobs I have received a pay increase. I recently graduated college and received my Associates of Applied Science in Criminal Justice. There's a lot of things I enjoy about being a caregiver! I love talking to people and hearing about their life stories. Taking care of people and being able to make a difference in their life is so rewarding!
