I enjoy being with my clients! I love the personal interaction and using all of my skills to respond to a variety of needs. Running my own in-home assistant business since 2011, I have acquired the knowledge and skills to work with clients who are aging and/ or have medical needs. As a former special education teacher, I have developed a great deal of patience and understanding of people of all ages and their individual situations. My motto is " Meet people where they are, and build from there." I take a commonsense approach to life and take pride in LISTENING to clients and their families to find the best possible outcomes. I can help fill in the gaps for families and individuals who need help with daily tasks, need respite, or just need social interaction. I do not have medical training, but have acquired knowledge of medications, special physical and mental limitations and modifications, as well as having formal education and experience in behavior management.
