My name is Mya Hillard, I'm 19 years old, and currently out of college for the summer break. Will be returning in the fall but still will be available to work, if possible around school schedule when i get it. What makes me a great care giver is that treat people the way you would wanted to be treated. I think if the position was reversed i would want my care giver to do everything that they can to help me in every way i could be helped. Difficult or not. I'm a loving person , i love helping people, especially some that can't help theirselves. What made me want to be a care giver was when i worked at south. Which is a facility for special and behavioral individuals. When i first arrived for my first day, i went in with the mind set of," this is just a job to pay for college". As days went on, i grew accustomed to an individual that had a very bad behavioral problems with trust issues to care givers. I worked extra hard every day to earn her trust . The moral of the story is , i learned when working with these individuals, they have people in and out of their lives everyday and it's not easy going through that. So i decided that maybe i could help by being a care giver that provides what individuals that can't do for them self need without breaking their trust.
