I am a caregiver I have been taking care of the elderly for 6 in a half years. I love it I have a passion for it. And nothing is more rewarding then the one you take care smile at you. And they become my extended family I live it.

I'm a very outgoing caregiver that cares more about how the residents is feeling and the comfortability than my own! As for what attracted me to be a care giver is I see so many articles and shows on tv showing all of these residents being abused and it broke my heart and I wanted to make a difference so I decided to go to a technical high school were I got my CNA as well as all of my other certifications. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is the smiles I get when I do even the littlest thing s for my residents I am not saying it is always easy or picture perfect but I think of my residents as family members and treat them exactly how I would treat my own family member because you always have to think they did not ask to be in there situation and that is what I always refer back to. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is I went to a technical high school and got all of my certifications there and now am currently attending a university to further my education while working per diem. As well as currently looking for a full time job so I can continue helping people while also saving money for college.

I have been in the field of caring for intellectual disabled and elderly all my life, i now work as a manager in a group home and as it is highly rewarding ,I feel i can give more of my attention to one person and have alot of knowledge and love to give . And I also feel i can give families the comfort that there loved one ins in great hands,i myself am dealing with a parent with dementia and a stroke

I provide flexible hours. Such as, nights, days or a 24-hour period, whatever is needed. Hi. I am a certified CNA with 7+ years of experience in a nursing home setting and a home care setting. I love my work. I worked at an insurance company for 30 years. I recently retired and I am now doing work that is my passion as a personal home aide/CNA. I got into this work 8 years ago (while still working full time at the insurance company) when my father was diagnosed with cancer. He wanted to die at home and his last 3 months of living I spent a lot of time with him. I saw the CNA's and visiting nurses come and go taking care of him. When he passed away I pursued my CNA license and have been doing this work ever since. I am caring and passionate and take care of my clients/residents as they were my family.
