Started working with veteran women and now with veteran men that are coming from displacement due to mental illness, drug abuse, physical health, jail, prison, and homelessness. Encouraging them to not give up and that they are being helped to get the benefits, medicine, therapy, and housing they very much need. With a 95% success rate at both women and men facilities that I manage. Clients call to do update with me on how they are doing on their own, maintaining their doctors’ appointments, taken their medications, staying within their budgets and some doing volunteer work. Do random drug and alcohol tests on all residents upon entering the facility and couple times monthly, after overnight passes and if curfew is broken.
➢ Client supervision and assisting in the intake process, client appointments, and phone coverage. Being advocate, listener while coordinating with clients’ medical, social, vocational, therapeutic needs. Making sure the house rules and guidelines are followed; for meals preparation; the organization and the cleanliness of the house; and life skills sessions. Monitor any medication in-take, making sure the proper amount is take on the set schedule, per the doctor.
