I have been doing CNA and HHA work for 30 years and I believe I would be a great caregiver because I love what I do. I like to be that little ray of hope in someones life and to make their lives a little easier. I have gone above and beyond for my former clients because I like to make a difference. I think one of my proudest moments was when this particular lady would not open up to anyone and was mean to everyone, but I just kept assuring her that it would be ok and that I understand her and before you knew it she opened up to me and was the sweetest person. It made me laugh because no one could understand how I did it. I told them they have to understand that some of the residents have no friends or family to depend on so we have to show them that they have us and we can't take everything they say as face value because sometimes it's just a way they deal with their emotions. So hopefully I can make a difference in someone else's life.
