Hello, My name is Antoinette Jacquez, I am 26 years old. I Just recently moved to Kissimmee, FL from Milwaukee, WI. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for going on 3 years, practicing for 2 1/2 years. Given that I have had only 2 1/2 years of Professional experience with working with the elderly; I like to say i have had 8 years of experience dealing with people with special needs/medical needs. I have a 8 year old son that is disabled, he has a lot of medical problems that i tend to by administering medications and taking him to doc. appointments. Having a child with special needs/ medical needs sense birth has given me a lot of experience in many ways one being able to relate to the patients and family members. Caring for people is my passion, I love bringing smiles to people faces and just being their for them when their family members cant be. Working at a nursing home for two years gave me the opportunity to work with a variety of patients ranging from rehab to assisted living to hospice care. My personal achievement I would have to say is my son; with his diagnosis it is very critical that he get his medications administered correctly and his intake monitored. I Had the ability to be a stay at home mom and because the amazing care and attention he received from birth to current the doctors are amazed on how well he is doing unlike other children with his condition.
