I have an educational background in psychology and human services. I am a graduate of Liberty University Lynchburg Virginia, holding a Master of Art Human Services, Marriage and Family Counseling. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Psychology in 2013 from the University of Phoenix. My work experience includes assisting patients diagnosed with mental illness, substance disorders, IDD, and dementia. My most recent job was as a Caseworker for the state of Texas Adult Protective Services. I worked in complicated environments and had to investigate complex cases. The job required me to use strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills. I worked as a resident manager at a drug and substance abuse rehabilitation facility called Covenant Hills. I provided counseling and worked as part of a treatment team to assist women with recovery from drug addiction. I make the choice to work in helping professions because I desire to contribute to the welfare of others.
