My experience in caring for the elderly started at a young age. As a child my mother worked in a Nursing Home and would bring us into visit with patients that had no family. So of course this would be my first job working in this Nursing Home. I feel very passionate about working with the elderly. I have worked in 2 Nursing Homes and am now doing companion aide work. I have cared for patients with Dementia, Alzheimer's and prosthetics. Giving the elderly the care and compassion they need gives me much pleasure. Whether it be helping with things they can on longer do on their own or sitting and chatting for awhile.
