I would be a great caregiver because I worked and love my elderly people.. Without them I wouldn't be where I am now. I moved here in NC to help take care of my grandma when I was 12. I've learned lots of things from my grandma..Took care of her til she was 101 years old. My mom and sisters all are in the nursing field and that's what attracted me to being a care giver. The most I enjoy being a caregiver is meeting new people, talking to them and most of all getting to listen to all the stories they lived when they was little. A kind smile or a pat on your back of a job well done.. Not to mention when they ask you Are you coming back ? Is a stamp of approval for me that it was a very good day and a job well done.
I had a wonderful experience as a child with awesome grandparents. As I got older and became an adult I cared for each of them at some point. I enjoy listening to their life lessons and respect them for their sacrifices. I have alot of experience with Alzheimers and can listen to the same stories & questions over & over. I like being able to make their day, wether it be reading to them or stopping by Krispy Kreme and bringing them their favorite doughnut. My proudest moment was when I was a caregiver for a stubborn, hard to get along with kind of gentleman. One day his daughter asked him why he loved Wendy so much? And he replied, "because she loves me and doesn't have too." I am happily married to my high school sweetheart of 30 years. We have 2 adult children and 1 grandaughter. I was a stay at home / homeschooling mom for 20 years. We are enjoying our empty nest. I am just happy with life.
I have cared for others all my life starting with my grandmother. I enjoy helping people maintain their dignity and still be in the comfort of their own home. It warms my heart and keeps me humble. I am a 47 year old widowed christian lady who enjoys the outdoors and staying active. I have excellent references upon request. I'm a compassionate caregiver. Very loyal I enjoy caring for my clients. Each client is different, their personalities, their demeanors and their habits. I became a care giver because I am outgoing, very dependable. I am dedicated to their needs. I enjoy people. Kindness and attention is important to care for someone's loved one. Their needs come first. I am prompt and and very honest. I have handled money in the past as well. I like learning about the clients. their ways, their habits, what they enjoy, what they do not enjoy, just getting to know them as well. I think my greatest achievement is getting the clients to trust me in my care and that I'm there to help them in any way.

I became a CNA because i like the fact that i can help people who are unable to help themselves. What I like most about being a CNA is knowing that i am doing my job for a good cause and helping someone who may not be capable of fully helping themself. To make another indivdual happy makes me happy, and To feel like I gave my best to care for a person who needs help brings me great pride.A personal achievement that i am proud of is getting through the steps of becoming a CNA, the desire i have to help others is so strong i just knew that if i had my mind set on achiving the goal in helping people that i was going to do it, and after achieving that goal I was filled with joy and accomplishment. I find myself to be a very outgoing person , i find that helping people is what brings me the most joy. my weakness are the fact that i put people before myself because i feel what builds my strength most is being able to know that what i do is for a good cause and that I gave someone my all as I would want one to give To any family member, Friend or even myself. Aside from being a CNA i am a good friend, sister, daughter, and mom. I am a big family person and i enjoy time and vacations spent with family. I am a person who is both devoted to my work and to family.
