As long as I can remember, I have tried to help anyone in need. I think it's a true part of who I am. I have a compassionate heart and I care what others are feeling, needing and saying. I am passionate about people and their needs. I began as a babysitter when I was 14 years old. I am a mother of 6 children, three of which had special needs. In my early 30 s I began to volunteer for a widows group, where I learnt so much about the loneliness and the need for help in their homes and medical needs. I have always gravitated towards children, the hurting and the elderly, as experience has taught me to sympathize as well as empathize with each individual as a whole and I don't mind saying I often fall in love with each person I care for. People tell me that caring for others is just a job. To me, it's a life style. A true need, a necessity in a world that seems so cold. Caring for those that can not always help themselves, gives me a feeling of accomplishment and drives me to want to do more.
