About Verdene

Hello there!!! My name is Verdene Dismuke and I am the caregiver for YOU!!!! I became a caregiver over 20 years ago because I have a genuine love and desire to care for those who can't help themselves. While my client base has mostly been comprised of the senior community, I also have cared for infants, children and those with special needs as well. What I enjoy about being a caregiver most are the smiles, hugs, and gently held hands I get from those I care for. Often times I am their primary contact during the day...the only friendly face, smile or conversation they receive. Being able to make that type of impact on someone's day is a powerful testament to human interaction and what a simple act of kindness can mean to someone. There's nothing like being the reason behind someone's joy. My most memorable personal achievement was taking a woman who hadn't been outside in a year outside to feel the sun on her face, the wind on her skin, and watch the season change. What that meant to her and the fact that I helped her accomplish what she thought was an unattainable goal has never been forgotten. I still smile fondly thinking about that first time. I am an honest genuine loving caregiver that offers more than the typical person. I believe in dignity at all times, keeping your loved one clean neat and tidy always, I do hair nails, etc and I am willing to go the extra mile for their comfort. I am friendly and outgoing, prompt, responsible, trustworthy and reliable.
