I am very patient. I grew up with both handicapped and mentally disabled family members and friends, so I have life experience. I care for those interested to me as if they were family and try to make sure that their family members or close friends if there is no family are involved. I have a happy disposition and smile a lot and try to be positive no matter the situation. I became a caregiver during COVID-19 pandemic before that I was a massage therapist and holistic healer. I have been caring for people most of my life, and it just seemed a natural change over. I am a mother figure most people call me mama. I am just a natural caregiver. And I enjoy, helping others feel that they are safe and cared for. For the corporate franchise that I work, for I have been a caregiver of the month, but most of my proud moments would be of my holistic background, and being the mother and matriarch of the family of my generation. I am an LVN with 20 years of nursing experience. I provide skilled care or more extensive care such as end of life care, wound care or care that may require someone more skilled. MY PRICES ARE NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON THE JOB AND SKILL NEEDED FOR THE JOB. I'm IHSS certified for Lake County and will consider working through IHSS. My regular prices range from $30.00 - $45.00 an hour. I've always been a natural caregiver. I love caring for people. I began a career in nursing in 2001 as a CNA. I went to school to become an LPN in 2005 and graduated Valedictorian in 2006. I've enjoyed nursing and was fortunate to be able to gain lots of experience in geriatrics and pediatrics. I've worked in private care, home health care, assisted living, nursing home and clinic. I have also been blessed to have worked with developmentally delayed children and adults. I love to make a difference in the lives of the people I help. I live in Lakeport, CA. I'm looking to take a break from nursing for large groups of patients to a one on one setting. I got into caregiving as a fluke and instantly fell in love with it and the people that I have been able to help and care for. I've always had interest in the medical field and I learned that caregiving is fairly similar to it, I saw that through caregiving I create a personal connection and that's why I chose caregiving. I enjoy the little moments about caregiving, when a person served says something unexpected and it creates a happy memory/moment for us both. A personal achievement I am proud of is taking first place in bodybuilding competitions, it's the prep that I am most proud of, not quitting when it's hard or when I'm tired.

I believe what makes me a good caregiver is giving my compassionate care. I feel I love doing what I do makes me feel rewarded. I enjoy giving my expertise experience in helping in any way I am able. My personal achievement would be that I have served a handful of clients daily.

I have been my daughter's care giver for over six years due to her disabilities. I am also currently part-time employed and my main duties are as a Speech and Language Assistant for Spanish Speaking children.I have also worked with Senior Citizens for over ten years, in supervising their medication intake, and minor household upkeep.
