Has passion for helping others

I have worked in the healthcare field the past 4 years; I absolutely love it. I have worked in a group home, ISL(individual supported living), nursing homes and psychiatric hospital, ages ranging from 3-100. I worked as a CNA at the nursing home, helping with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, changing and person hygiene. In the ISL, I worked with disabled clients, helping with their everyday need. I would provide transportation, assist with house cleaning, administrating meds, personal hygiene and community skills. I Thoroughly enjoy working in the healthcare field and plan to attend college to get my RN degree. After graduation I would like to become a behavioral health nurse. I love being able to help people with things that they are no longer able to do.

What makes myself a great caregiver is I am compassionate, caring,patient,empathetic,and loving, I enjoy what I do for others. What encouraged my choice to do caregiving, My Father, he had a massive CVA in 2009 and since then my experience has driven me more towards helping not only family but those who need it. My biggest accomplishment in being a caretaker is the priceless moments of appreciation with my clients and there families.

I became a caregiver because of 2 main reasons. 1st is I believe that being a caregiver brings spiritual treasures that will not spoil or be taken away. As a hospice aid for 7 years I realized that we or our spirit belongs to a place where we will no longer suffer. 2nd I always pray for my time when my body also become old and fragile. When that time comes I will also like to be treated the same way I treated my client, with respect, compassion and care. The thing I like about caregiver is the joy that I get after the client passes away and hear from family and friends that I have done a good job. The personal achievement that I can say was from my last case with a couple in Los Altos where the husband died. I was live-in for five days and at the final days of the client I remained with him all night and called the children early in the morning to come and say their final respect to their Father. And surely it was his last day and the children was so appreciative of it. Just a quote from his recommendation letter "It is my absolute pleasure to write this recommendation letter. I became a Care Giver because I love helping others In their daily living activities. Love to see the gratitude expression on their faces, and for the residents to know and feel that I'm here for them to know that they are not alone. I know that making the decision of becoming a care giver has been the best choice of my life, because I love what I do, love to know that out there, somewhere the're are a lot of seniors who need assistance, and care in so many different ways, but the're may not be that many care givers who are willing to help them, so for me it's an honor and a privilege to to be considered to assist any resident or loved one with their ADLs. I am very responsible out going team player flexible with hours willing travel. I'm very careful at what I do, learn quickly. I'm very compassionate trustful, loyal. You won't regret hiring me to care for your loved one.

One of the things that makes me a great caregiving is my patience I have for my patient.one of the reasons why I became a caregiver is because I love helping people accomplish things they can't do by their own.
