I started doing homecare assistance work about nine years ago. I became strong in the field by learning the needs and care to the elderly community and I absolutely love this field. I have my associates in Allied health and Nursing and now working on my bachelor's. I have experience with dealing with just about all types of patients but most of all I'm compassionate with this field. I do have training in CPR and First Aid.

I have over 14 years experience taking care of elderly and disabled individuals. I have open availability and can start immediately.

I have enjoyed being a caregiver for a few years now. It's something that just kinda fell in my lap. My stepdad had a stroke an was going to be put in the nursing home as he had no one to care for him to go home. So I offered to give it a try so he could be at home while he progresses. I went to the hospital an stay a few days before he was released an nurses an doctors spend alot of time with me explaining do an don't s. He had to help with everyday all day normal of liveing. Bathing, changing diapers because he wasn't able to walk. Cooking cleaning an therapy . Lots of therapy an also had to where a vest to shock his heart if it was to stop working. Over time was very emotional has I never believed I could make a difference like I did. But he was albe to walk again an on his own. An upgrade to useing the bathroom on his own . All but sometimes help with bathing. He's still doing good an still needs help. But progressed enough where he only needs me part time. I worked hard an always kept a smile on my face to encourage him to keep moving forward. During this time I also started doing part time help with my grandmother an concerns she had. An I e learned so much over the passed few years an enjoyed knowing I could help that I decided to continue offering my guidance. I learned things I never thought would happen an makes me smile knowing I can give a smile!

My grandmother & grandfather was nurses/ caregivers.Grandmother was also a doctor.Grandfather was a nurse stationed o er seas in WW 2. Raised to respect those in need.Be kind ,considerate,& humble.Helping those in need is a gift.

My name is Latroya hayward and I've been caring for my grandmother, which has passed away now since I was 9 years old. I also looked after my Auntie growing up. My grandmother had dementia and sometimes tried to wonder off. I really enjoyed taking care of those two lady's and I miss them. Having to take care of them attached me to becoming a caregiver. I also have a son that's artistic and he has seizures. I have to do lots of things for him too. I love washing my baby and grooming him. Making him smell good. My son is 21 years old and still my baby. The things that I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is giving care to those in need. Making a difference in their life's. Making the ones who need me feel great about themselves. Loving on them, letting them sense that I care. It also helps me in so many ways. The smile that one gives you when they're comfortable. It warms my heart. I'm proud of who I am. Because I love making a difference in someone's life. Loving and caring makes a difference in everyone's life.
