I genuinely care about others, no matter the age. Outside of my wishes of being a medical assistant, I wanted to be a caregiver because I would have one-on-one time with the person. This desire of mine grew as I started working for Clark Lindsey. As a waitress, I get to know the residents to an extent. The reason I joined Synergy (home health care), was to be a companion to residents that may not have that or any type of care as they used to. Knowing that they don't get to see their loved ones as much as they want to, I feel even closer to them because I feel like I can be that person for them-someone who is close to them, cares for them, provides safety, and to really listen and have interest in them. For the client that I currently have as well as others in the past, I learn a lot of life experiences from them and I love to see their eyes light up when they tell me parts of their past as if they are reliving it again and again. Lastly, my personal achievements that I'm proud of happens at Clark Lindsey and with a client I used to have. At Clark Lindsey, when residents would come up to me (when I'm working, or just visiting) telling me that they always enjoy seeing me, always makes my day. Also, recently with a client, I aided in the recovery of one walking again. Even though, I don't see him anymore, I'm happy that he is with his wife and truly happy.

I am very patient and willing to help, learn to make sure the client have good care. Being able to help the client, balance that to daily living activities and to give them a reason to want to continue to push, and forward to do better and to get better . being able to give the client a reason to wanna live.

Iam one person that does this job not only for money but its a blessing that iam able to do what God blessed me in doing and I enjoy what I do and thank all families that trust me with there loved ones.

I grew up with a huge family, my mother was a Foster care provider, my dad was a Chief Fireman, I am the youngest of 8children, I grew up watching my mom take care of handicapped children my entire life, I always loved seeing how happy it made her to be able to help someone, even if it were just by giving that child love, I've grown to follow her footsteps and I just love being able to help someone if I can, even if can't make them better health wise, I can help them feel better emotionally, everyone deserves the BEST CARE POSSIBLE, that's why I love doing this job! I'm experienced in all aspects of Nursing, I've done pretty much everything expected, I am Certified in Nursing, I'm in school for Phlebotomy, I worked 15yrs in Dementia Care, as well as Alzheimers. I'm very fun to be around and love the new experiences with each client.

I have over 20 years of experience in the caregiving field, both live in and live out situations. I am highly skilled in grooming toileting bathing dressing and transferring of elderly. I am well versed in assisting clients with activities of daily living and I have demonstrated ability to record and report changes in residents eating habits to supervisor or family. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant since October of 2004. I have had the rewarding opportunity to care for many people with various conditions. Through my experiences, I have excelled in areas of patience, empathy, and communication. My caregiving skills include, but are not limited to; bathing, skin care, dressing, feeding, repositioning, ambulating, toileting, obtaining vital signs, transferring, preparing and serving food, medication reminders, oral hygiene, hospice care, and cleaning living spaces. I enjoy going above and beyond my expected responsibilities to ensure excellent care. I remain sensible and approach high pressure issues appropriately, according to urgency. I am results oriented. I think in terms of what else can be done efficiently, yet with a quality outcome. I take ownership of my job and hold myself accountable. I am flexible and willing to handle a variety of tasks in an organized manner. I am a compassionate person and I am always ready to help others in both my personal and professional life. I work well with all kinds of people and can adapt to their lifestyle and environment.

Because I am a very compassionate person, patient and fine seniors and elderly people very interesting to spin time with, the thaught of being able to help someone that truly appreciate the help we give. Being able to say I've spent 30s years taking care of older people and have enjoyed every bit of it. Whatever job I held in taking care of seniors and elderly persons I committed myself and gave a 100% to my job.

A caregiver isn't a job for just anyone. You have to have special characteristics to provide excellent care, I am honest, trustworthy, friendly, punctual, caring, good listener, patient and selfless. My happiness comes from helping others. As I grew up I took care of myself, as a teen I moved in with my grandparents so I could take care of them ever since then it's always been my dream to help others. Also I have worked in nursing homes and it broke my heart to see how residents are cared for. People seem happier in their own homes so if there is something I can do to help them stay in their home I will do it. Through the years I've had several clients, I have never had a client that has not liked me. I am proud to say that I have brought happiness to other people's lives and provided the best care that I could.

I love to take care of anyone who needs help, whether it be from a young age child who has chronic sickness, to an elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease. It brings satisfaction to my life. I'm kind, loving, patient, and very determined in whatever I do. Personally, I love to read and write and play the piano for a hobby.
