Overnight Memory Care Wound care Alzheimer's Dementia Cerebral palsy including Hospice care, Medication reminder s, feeding G-tube with medications and liquid food Maintenance is just to name a few. Such duties also performed included completing laundry errands cooking house cleaning transfer from the bed to the wheelchair shower bed bath grooming. I became a caregiver because of my parents in need of care...During a 36+year period I have worked as a caregiver/home-care aide also assisted caring for my parents until they departed. I was taught to honor thy mother/ father and respect others at a young age... Hi, De'yunka here! I got my start in the United States Marines as an Administrative Specialist. I decided that I needed a change and becoming a caregiver was something that I wanted to try. I am currently working for an agency and my first client was a paraplegic and she taught me a lot, from sponge baths to catheter placement. she also shared with me valuable life lessons and experiences that have helped me as an individual and as a caregiver. I've since added much more training and experiences and I can honestly say becoming a caregiver was the best choice for me.
