Everyone needs help from time to time. I like being that for someone, and hopefully making their day nicer, too. It's the little things that make a bad day better. I am not certified, but I have had multiple jobs as a caretaker, skills coach, and mental health aide. I have experience in most skills requested, and am very comfortable performing all care needs. I am open to expanding my skills, and will put in the extra effort and research needed. Ive had training in most everything listed, including lifting, mobility, CPR, and first aid. An experienced caregiver

I'm the oldest sibling and grandchild which means I am a natural caregiver. I love getting to know people and learning about their history or hearing stories they may share. Or, sitting in silence as we read a book or color together. Cooking and cleaning are other ways to show love and care for people. I love my "job" because it never feels like going to work. Helping people is engrained in me and it's truly the best fit I can imagine as far as a career.

I'm always happy, very caring and always smiling. I do have a lot of experience. I enjoy helping others and put all I have into my work. I learn all I can learn to make things enjoyable and better I was raised with it and loved the work I do. I went as high as I could in training, my next step is a RN position. Helping people and doing my best at what I do and giving the best care, also raising my four beautiful daughters and who they became as a adults The work I do, makes me feel good and proud of helping people and doing all I can.

I have worked in health care all my life. I've worked with kids and adults with mental and physical disabilities, in schools, group home settings, and within the home as well. I've worked for Bronson Hospital for ten years, before discovering my true passion, in home care. I'm gregarious, positive, and like bringing a sense of joy and humor to work with me every day. I love knowing that my being there, it can help someone stay in their home one more day.

Being a great caregiver means going above and beyond for my patients. I have experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes etc. I'm also cpr certified.

A few things about me and my role as a caregiver are that I'm friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, and hard working. For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. The services that I've performed include transportation, personal assistance, physician advocate, medication disbursement, life-skills assistance to people, of all ages, with a variety of physical and mental abilities. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help.
