I have been doing home health care for over 20 yrs now. I love my job and what I do. If I can make someone's life easier then I know I have done my job. I Love people And not just anyone can do this kind of work. You have to have a passion for people, and that's what I have. Every client I have had love my work. I'm good at what I do because I love what I do.

I've been in the health care field since 2011. I Started off working in adult foster care then transitioned into working at a Daytime Enrichment Program. Recently, I've started Helping Hands In Home Respite Services to provide families with temporary breaks from taking care of their loved ones. I started my journey assisting others in this field shortly after leaving college to help take care of my mother in 2010. One thing I love about working as a caregiver is the people that I serve. Helping those in need brings great rewards; building new relationships, learning and experiencing new tasks, making someone's life a little better, one day at a time.

I'm reliable, honest, trustworthy, and driven. I've had a passion for helping others since I was younger, at just about 12 years of age. What I enjoy most is being able to be a helping hand and someone others can count on when in need. I'm proud of the amount of years I put in to the senior community and was given many opportunities to build in this field.

Love feeling needed. Also love giving the patient the best, day possible. Love to watch old movies, bring old postcards, or cook be dishes their mother made in the past. Miss my own grandparents terribly. Caregiving fills that void for me. Love, it when my patients relive the past, and feel young again! Proud of taking care of people and helping them regain joy, in their last days.

Having two years of experience being a program coordinator prompt me with better community engagement and customer service. I became a full time caregiver about 3 years ago when my grandfather stared to go downhill. He became sick and had lived in his own house with my grandmother. He was 94 and at the time 88. My grandfather who's mental status was completely there started to need a lot of help getting around the house, making food, cleaning, going places and etc. I have 4 uncles and everyone pitched in because my grandmothers mental state was starting to deteriorate as my grandfathers physical status decreased. I started to spend about 4 nights a week there trading off with mainly my dad and other uncle to make sure when they got up at night they didn't fall. I made meals, helped with showers, cleaning and just about everything else. My grandpa passed in 2017, and we had to take care of my grandma, who's mental status had completely deteriorated after her husbands death. We took rides, went shopping, got food, and had a lot of fun. She eventually got very week and we couldn't do it all alone. So we got her into grand pines, which is a amazing facility! They helped us through a lot but I really enjoyed just sitting with her doing my homework and listening to her be happy and just talk away. That's why I know I would love a job to be a caregiver, I love to be company and do little fun activities that I know the person I'm taking care of would enjoy too.
