I have been a caregiver for 20 years, I got into this work just trying to help out a friend and I enjoyed it so much that I never stopped doing it! I have found it to be very rewarding, it feels good to be there for others and have the ability to make positive difference in their life. I always try to anticipate the needs of my residents and make sure they are met in a timely manner. I enjoy getting to know them, and doing little things that I know will brighten their day. I truly love what I do and try to do everything I can to help enhance their quality of life and maintain a sense of independence. I am extremely dependable and punctual, have a strong work ethic, carry myself with integrity, and consider myself to have high morals, ethics, and standards. I am able to follow directions, do things the way I'm asked to and not just the way I would like to do them, and strongly believe in doing the job I'm being paid to do. I try my best to make the resident happy and comfortable in anyway possible. I am a passionate caregiver who loves the work I do. I started out taking care of my ill grandmother at 17 years old in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I graduated two year ahead of my class at 16 years old in May of 2011. As soon I received my diploma, I quickly enrolled in CNA classes where I soon graduated first in my class in February 2012. I have been in the medical field ever since. My grandmother thankfully recovered fully in good health and since then I have worked in facilities and home health areas. I am an easygoing person with a bubbly personality. I love to make people laugh as well as feel comfort and peace in my presence.

I have been a caregiver in many ways my whole life. As the eldest child in my family, I was usually left in charge of many things as the adults managed larger projects. As I got older, I played sports and college prep classes, I learned organization, time management and team building. In college and my earlier adult work life, I worked in hospitality, childcare and medical assistant skills that have lead me to more in depth paths of caregiving. I have raised a family, now that are teaching their 30s and have held many leadership positions. I enjoy the one on one smaller projects of caregiving these days.
