Many years ago when my oldest child was 4 we found out she had kidney disease. She had surgeries and other medical procedures. She sees many doctors and specialists. I learned a lot from her illness and it made me want to get into nursing. I started off in a nursing facility and worked all units, short term and long term. I got hands on experience with many medical procedures from watching and helping the nurses and doctors. It added onto my skills as a CNA. After 12 years I decided to go to private home care. If a person is able to stay in their home I believe it's truly the best decision. I've done pretty much everything in home care over the past several years. No task is too big or small.
