I am a very compassionate person. I am caring and patient woman. I am always on time and do not call in. I walk in integrity and honor. I have a son who is disabled and he can not walk or talk. He has had 4 major brain surgeries. Also, my father is blind and I have a cousin who has cerebral palsy. So caregiving comes naturally. I became a caregiver because we have experienced both good and bad caregivers. I wanted to give to other families and be the caregiver I want for my family. Growing up I took care of my grandmother that had a neurological disease. I would help bathe her, feed her, give her medications as needed, and kept her company all day, everyday. Though I don't have any professional experience yet, I believe i'd be the ideal care taker. I have a lot of patience and empathy for others, especially the elderly. I understand that most of the time they just want company and to know everything is going to be okay. I became a caregiver as a child growing into adulthood. I always cared for the grandparents within family and friends as well as children for family and friends. I opened my home to assist and old friends mother who needed a place to stay after her stroke while her daughter remodeled her home to be wheel chair accessible. After that I took in a child I was caring for who had down syndrome while her grandmother relocated to Oklahoma and got established in which she then came back and picked her up to take her out there with her.
