Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, or blood in urine. Exercise patients who are comatose, paralyzed, or have restricted mobility. Feed patients or assist patients to eat or drink. Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support. Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, surgical tables, or stretchers. blood collection, foley and catheter insertion and removal, telemetry placement and removal, BMS placement, Accucheks, specimen collections, wound care.

My personality traits that help me be an excellent caregiver are; empathy, attentiveness, sense of humor and supportive. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was seeing how my mother took care of her mother when I was a little girl. Witnessing that instilled a desire in me to do the same for my own mother if and when she needs me in that way. My mother not only took care of my grandmother but she checked on the elderly, family or not, if someone needed help she was there and to this day presents the same urgency. I enjoy knowing that I am able to give someone relief and the assurance that they are safe and will be taken care of. A personal achievement that I am proud of is proving to myself that I am resilient when trials have been thrown my way.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing , and currently working as a license Vocational Nurse in different cases like, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other medical and post-surgical clients. I am very attentive and knowledgeable about the things I do. I take life seriously but I feel good about myself when I make other people happy and laugh. I am very outgoing, a fast learner, and always willing to try/learn new things. I also respect my clients' privacy and confidentiality. I have special connections to elderlies like my LOLO(grandfather) and LOLA(grandmother). My grandparents took care of me ever since I was a baby. Every time I work with elderlies I treat them like they were my grand parents

I am a wife, mother of 2 amazing boys, and a nurse. I now stay home with my youngest son because my oldest son is away at college and my husband works crazy hours.
